In our initial client meeting, we will discuss the overall feel you are searching for and will give you options to achieve that look, whether it is formal or informal, traditional or trendy, tropical or arid, etc. We will analyze your property and identify criteria for the overall project. At this same time, we will discuss timeframe and budget parameters. The project will then be designed within your budget and most projects can be implemented in stages, if desired.
All of our landscape projects begin with the removal of clay or hard-packed soil and replacing it with a specially-blended, organic soil mix to ensure the proper growth of virtually any plant material. Many of our projects incorporate the use of moss boulders and river cobbles, along with a variety of plants, to provide a blend of color and textures that is not only striking, but can be low-maintenance, as well.
We like to treat the landscape design of your home as if it were our own; and in doing so, we encourage all of our clients to be as actively involved as they would like.
- Renovations - a complete tearout and disposal of the existing landscape, with new design and construction.
- Makeovers - better understood as a landscape "facelift"- old, damaged or undesirable plants are removed, leaving signature plants, then replaced with new plant material, soil, boulders, etc.
- General cleanups - tree trimming, sculpting of existing plant material, leaf removal, cultivation of soil, application of fresh mulch, and/or installation of seasonal color
- Mulching - we recommend mulch application at least annually. Mulching not only beautifies the landscape, but conserves moisture(cuts water bills), reduces soil erosion, retards weed growth, enriches the soil, and helps balance soil temperatures. A variety of mulches are available for you to choose from.
- Lawn replacement - the greatest enhancement for your new or existing landscape is a new yard! We use the highest quality sod - freshly cut, delivered and laid within 24 hours. Our proposal will include excavation and removal of existing grass, top dressing with one inch of organic soil mix to promote rapid root growth, laying of new sod, initial watering and rolling, and any minor sprinkler head adjustments. A variety of Bermuda, St. Augustine, and Zoysia grasses are available.
